An Automotive Passion told Through the Lens of a Content Creator
Automotive
At WeatherTech, we are all about the user experience. We are always searching for ways to expand the scope of our products and learn more about our customers who use them. Being an American company with 100% American sourced materials assembled by American Workers is what drives us, and what we are all about. A large way in which we incorporate this storytelling is by means of content creators. We love seeing the creative side of social media, and allowing those individuals to incorporate our products into their everyday lives. One such content creator that we have the pleasure of working with is Jonathun Catapano (merchantsvt). Jonathun is a content creator and photographer who has amazing taste in automotive culture. His personal vehicle collection is what caught our eye years ago and his ties to working with WeatherTech have been with his Ford Super Duty, and more recently, his Cadillac Escalade. We reached out to Jonathun to be a part of our Lifestyle blogs, so he could share his story of how he came to be the creator that he is, along with his gratitude to WeatherTech.
How did you find your passion for cars?
When I was about 7 or 8 years old, my mom came home from a trip with my dad and gave me a die cast model car of a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. I was just amazed about how fast this model car looked. I always just imagined myself driving this as a kid. Since then, I’ve always tried to purchase vehicles that gave me a similar feeling when looking at it as well as driving.
Do you enjoy other types of photography besides cars?
My first passion in photography is definitely off-road motorsports. I really enjoy capturing action shots but recently I have become interested in shooting portraits.
What is your favorite WeatherTech product?
I really love my floor mats. With frequent desert trips these hold up extremely well. The fit and finish is perfect and I love how easy they are to clean like new.
Of the WeatherTech products you’ve owned or currently own, which one have you found to be the most helpful with protecting your vehicle?
The window deflectors have come in handy. I prefer to drive with the window open and the window deflectors allow me to do that with reduced wind noise. It’s also great when it rains by allowing me to open the window some for fresh air without water coming inside.
